Policy and Procedure

Consortium / Third Party Administrator
Consortium / Third party administrator as defined by U.S Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, means a service agent that provides or coordinates one or more drug and/or alcohol testing services to DOT-regulated employers. C/TPAs typically provide or coordinate the provision of a number of such services and perform administrative tasks concerning the operation of the employers' drug and alcohol testing programs. This term includes, but is not limited to, group of entity, the DOT drug and alcohol testing programs of its members (e.g., having a combined random testing pool). C/ TPAs are not “employers” for purposes of this part.
It is policy for Doctors Clinic Houston to provide these consortium / third party administrator services to each DOT-regulated client. As a C/ TPA, Doctors Clinic Houston will be compliant with the USDOT Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
